Wintertaling provides legal support for the Udea – Natudis transaction
Organic food company Udea has acquired its peer Natudis, including its subsidiaries Hagor and Kroon. Udea states that the acquisition is in line with its growth strategy. The transaction was facilitated by various external M&A specialists, including KPMG and Clifton Finance.
Several M&A advisors were involved in the deal's completion – which is still pending approval by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM). In addition to KPMG, Clifton Finance was also engaged for M&A advice, provided by Maarten Vijverberg on behalf of the firm. Erik Does and Erik-Jan van de Brink, representing Udea, handled in-house M&A. Finally, two external parties were engaged for legal support: Wintertaling and Lexence. Wintertaling was represented by Marein Smits and Tim Carapiet, while Lexence delegated Mathijs van Doormalen and Wouter Kok.
