Tim advises on national and international acquisition transactions, setting up joint ventures and other collaborations, drafting commercial contracts, and (re-)financing transactions. Tim regularly acts as the point of contact in international transactions as Dutch 'counsel'
In addition, Tim set up and expanded the start-up practice. He has extensive experience in setting up startups, startup financing, employee participation and other legal challenges facing startup and venture investors. In this, Tim combines his interests in law and technological and social developments.
His clients are founders of startups, buying and selling business owners, (in)formal investors and venture capitalists, Dutch and international manufacturing companies, distributors and retailers and (financial) service providers, international law firms and financiers.

Tim studied law at the University of Maastricht (European, Dutch and comparative law at the European Law School), the University of Aberdeen, Scotland (Erasmus) and the University of Amsterdam (Commercial Law Practice/Private Law).
Tim has successfully completed the course Business Valuation at Nyenrode University.
Tim also regularly gives (guest) lectures at Nyenrode University, Vrije Universtiteit Amsterdam, TIO University of Applied Sciences and various startup/scaleup events such as Amsterdam Capital House and Go-NH.
