On June 5, 2019, CICERO's National Moot Court Competition (CLP) took place in the Amsterdam courthouse. This competition is organized annually by the Amsterdam-based moot court society CICERO, of which Wintertaling is the main sponsor. Teams of law students from universities across the country gathered to showcase their moot court skills.

The CLP is a speed-dating competition. Participants have just 30 minutes to familiarize themselves with a case and prepare a plea. In addition to the litigators, there are also court teams, who can ask questions of the litigators and issue a verdict afterward. The teams receive assistance with their preparations from young professionals. Martin Blom, representing Wintertaling, participated as a young professional.

After two preliminary rounds, the moot courts teams of Diephuis from Groningen and Molengraaff from Utrecht, and the court teams of DJ Veegens from Rotterdam and Gaius from Maastricht, faced off in the final. Ultimately, the jury congratulated Diephuis and DJ Veegens on their victory. The winners will receive a beautiful trophy and an internship at Wintertaling.
