Charles Langereis, in collaboration with Arjen van Rijn (De Clerq Advocaten), is assisting BETA, BOVAG, and a group of independent gas station owners in the summary proceedings they have initiated against the State.

On January 20, 2015, the hearing focused on compensation for the damages incurred due to last year's excise duty increases. During the proceedings, it is crucial that a clear explanation is provided as to why the consequences of the 2014 excise duty increases are so disastrous for border gas station operators.

The verdict is expected on February 3, 2015. We will keep you updated.
