For over 100 years, Dijkstra Vereenigde has been active in the glass packaging industry for beverages, food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, as well as drinking glasses for the hospitality industry and retail chains. Its laboratory equipment division supplies top-brand centrifuges, drying ovens, rotary evaporators, refrigerators, shakers, and ultrasonic baths to laboratories throughout the country. Together, the two divisions generate a turnover of approximately €23 million. With the acquisition by IPG, the group is expanding further in the Benelux. In addition to IPG, the two directors and employees will retain a (minority) stake in Dijkstra Vereenigde.

Dijkstra Vereenigde's packaging machinery division was recently sold and will continue under the name Fuji Packaging Benelux. Dijkstra was again advised by Marein Smits and Tim Carapiet.

On June 10, Wintertaling took part in a Rutger Kemper (co-founder of Leapfunder, managing director of Presidents Institute) participates in the accelerator program for the fifth time GO!-NHThis time, it provided one-on-one sessions on the legal and economic aspects of startups and financing. This was followed up with a combined webinar in which the startups were informed about their professional journey from inception to exit.

GO!-NH is the program of the province of North Holland, in which 13 startups and spin-offs accelerate their businesses over three months through training, tools, and professional support from experts. In light of COVID-19, the GO!-NH Accelerator has taken measures and (temporarily) revamped the program. For example, the teams are attending the planned workshops online this year. Tim Carapiet addressed various legal issues faced by startups, such as the basics of setting up a private limited company (BV), structuring the business, various forms of financing, the terms and conditions of convertible or equity investments, and commercial contracts. In these one-on-one sessions, participants received a legal review and guidance on navigating the legal jungle to best shape their startup.

This year's participants have again developed unique concepts. For example, DigiSurfer elderly people with laptops to stay in touch with the outside world, Seaweed Yarn makes yarn from seaweed and produces Fungalogic insulation material made from biological waste material using fungi. Cupbite certainly belongs in the list of innovative startups with their plan to make cups for festivals edible. Also From the Earth contributes by using crowdfinding, among other things, to finance the environmental transition for farmers and finally Outlander is committed to circular packaging materials.
