Hi! I'm Emma, 21 years old, and I'm studying law at the University of Amsterdam. Before I interned at Wintertaling, I was\u00a0<\/span>I was involved with the Bijlmermeer Legal Aid Foundation as a legal advisor and committee member, and I also served a year on the board. I currently write articles for MR.online and am a member of the Supervisory Board of the NILS network association.<\/span><\/p>

During my studies, I quickly realized that I wanted to become a lawyer after completing my master's degree. I wanted to first get acquainted with various practice groups and do an internship at a medium-sized firm to get a good idea of the legal field I would be working in.

My student internship was incredibly successful. So much so that after two months I extended my internship by another month. The assignments that
The internship I received was very diverse and challenging. As an intern, I was closely involved in the ongoing cases, which allowed me to learn a great deal in a short time. I think I learned the most from the assignments related to litigation and real estate. These areas of law are rarely covered in the curriculum during your studies, but they are incredibly interesting. It was therefore enjoyable and educational to delve into these practice groups under the guidance of the lawyers at Wintertaling.<\/p>

After three months, my internship is unfortunately coming to an end. With all the knowledge I've gained at Wintertaling, I'd like to take a look
joining the litigation practice of a larger firm here in the Zuidas business district. I also hope to start my master's in Civil Law and International Law at the University of Amsterdam next year.
